The Wyndham Grand is an exclusive five star hotel in Chelsea Harbour, London. During 2008 and 2009, the hotel is undergoing refurbishment to accommodate new floor layouts and facilities including a new bar and restaurant, banquet hall, two kitchens, reception area, roof-top function room and private lounge with roof top terrace, penthouse suites, spa and gym in addition to back-of-house areas for offices, laundry and staff canteen, toilets, changing and locker rooms.

The owner of the hotel worked with Wooldridge on previous projects and recognised its abilities to achieve tight deadlines with strict budgets to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Wooldridge is the main contractor and manages every aspect of the refurbishment. This includes architectural and interior design, planning, structural design, construction, interior decoration, and supply and installation of furnishings. As the hotel remains open during the project, Wooldridge works closely with the hotel operator to minimise disruption to the hotel and its guests. Wooldridge also partners with specialist sub-contractors to ensure quality, competitive costs and timescales.

Wooldridge’s dedicated onsite management team has an ‘open door approach’ so that the client and hotel operator’s requirements are met efficiently. The project will be completed by December 2009.
