We are focused on removal, disposal, reprocessing and recycling of excess materials on sites.

Over 60% of all materials are reprocessed.

Our experience and expertise in optimising materials reuse means that we proactively match sites for clients where there is excess to sites that require additional earth for restoration, landscaping or reshaping purposes. This means that our solutions are more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly as landfill is the last option.

Case Study:
Guards Polo Club, Windsor

Guards Polo Club decided to extend one of its polo pitches so that it could be used as a full-size pitch, with a safe run-off area and compliant with competition standards.

Wooldridge had a strong relationship with the Club and a reputation for quality and cost-effectiveness.  It was the natural partner for developing these facilities.

A low-lying area of wasteland to the rear of one of the grounds was identified as a suitable plot to develop and the area was raised to existing ground levels. Wooldridge located a building site in the proximity with excess soil that would be an ideal source of material: sandy subsoil. The material was transported to the Club, tipped, spread, levelled and compacted. This resulted in a full-size polo pitch.

Work was carried out throughout the polo season and Wooldridge worked closely with the Club to avoid disruption to the events. The new pitch was ready for the following season’s competitions.
