Wooldridge has carried out various methods of demolition including, bridge dismantling, high rise deconstruction and controlled explosive demolition. Many of our projects are carried out in densely populated areas and as result we instigate a systematic approach to noise, dust and vibration management to ensure disruption to residents and businesses are kept to an absolute minimum and our in-house health & safety department ensures a comprehensive method statement is submitted for every project.
Over the years we have been awarded multiple Considerate Constructors’ Site awards. We were awarded several Gold awards and were runners-up for the Most Considerate Site award for our Flagship site Ergon House, Westminster in 2019. We have continued to maintain our high standards despite the challenges we faced throughout 2020 and were thrilled to have been awarded two more Gold awards and one Silver award during 2020 for our work on the Acton, Kingston, and Farnham sites. At Wooldridge we recognise our duty of care regarding the environment and are constantly reviewing and updating our policies to ensure the most up-to-date demolition plant and techniques are used continually to reduce the overall impact on the environment. Our environmental management systems address issues such as energy consumption, recycling, emissions, noise, dust, vibration and the use of materials from sustainable sources. We aim to recycle as much material from our sites as possible.
